Three Days in Boston, Massachusetts


If you have three days to explore Boston, here’s a suggested itinerary that includes some of the city’s highlights:

Day 1:

  1. Morning: Start your day by visiting the historic Freedom Trail. This 2.5-mile-long trail takes you through 16 significant sites related to the American Revolution, including the Massachusetts State House, Paul Revere’s House, and the Old North Church.
  2. Afternoon: Head to the charming neighborhood of Beacon Hill. Stroll along the picturesque streets lined with red-brick houses and explore the boutique shops on Charles Street. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the beautiful Boston Public Garden, the first public botanical garden in America.
  3. Evening: Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. Enjoy a variety of dining options at Quincy Market’s food stalls and explore the historic Faneuil Hall, where important speeches were given during the American Revolution.

Day 2:

  1. Morning: Start your day at the renowned Museum of Fine Arts, home to an extensive collection of artworks from various periods and cultures. Take your time exploring the museum’s galleries and notable exhibits.
  2. Afternoon: Make your way to the lively neighborhood of Fenway-Kenmore. Visit Fenway Park, the oldest baseball stadium in the country and catch a Red Sox game if there’s one scheduled. Nearby, you’ll find the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, known for its stunning art collection and beautiful courtyard.

Day 3:

  1. Morning: Start your day by visiting the iconic Harvard University in Cambridge, just across the Charles River from Boston. Take a campus tour and explore the Harvard Yard, home to historic buildings and significant landmarks.
  2. Afternoon: Head to the waterfront area and visit the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum to learn about the city’s revolutionary history. Take a scenic stroll along the Harborwalk and enjoy the views of the Boston Harbor.
  3. Evening: End your trip with a visit to the lively North End neighborhood, known for its delicious Italian cuisine. Enjoy a traditional dinner in one of the many Italian restaurants, and be sure to try some authentic cannoli from the famous Mike’s Pastry or Modern Pastry.
