Packing List; Its time to travel! what do I do before I leave?

  2. Double and triple check your booked flights and accommodation . Always remember to google your flight number on the day of your flight, in case there are last minute changes..

Don’t forget essentials like clothing, toiletries, medications, travel adapters, and any necessary documents or travel insurance. Consider the weight and size restrictions of your transportation method.
  4. Notify your bank and credit card companies: Inform your bank and credit card companies about your travel plans to avoid any issues with blocked or flagged transactions due to suspected fraud.

  6. Arrange for pet or house sitter: If you have pets or need someone to look after your home, make arrangements with a trusted friend, family member, or professional pet sitter.

  8. Set up automatic bill payments: If you’ll be away for an extended period, arrange for automatic bill payments for utilities, rent/mortgage, and other regular expenses.
  9. Pack important documents: Carry copies of your passport, visa, travel insurance, and other essential documents. You can also store electronic copies in cloud storage or email them to yourself for easy access.
  10. Inform trusted contacts: Share your travel itinerary with a trusted family member or friend. Provide them with emergency contact numbers and copies of your important documents.
  11. Check health and vaccination requirements: Research if there are any specific health or vaccination requirements for your destination. Visit a travel clinic or consult your doctor to ensure you’re up to date on any necessary vaccinations or medications.
  12. Make necessary arrangements at work: If you’re taking time off from work, inform your employer in advance and complete any pending tasks or assignments. Set up an email auto-reply to let colleagues and clients know about your absence and provide alternative contact information if needed.
  13. Manage subscriptions and deliveries: Pause or redirect any regular subscriptions or deliveries, such as newspapers, magazines, or meal kits, while you’re away.
