Small Group Tours & Escorted Journeys

See the world with a small group, without planning a thing

Join an escorted small group journey where the itinerary, transport, and key experiences are arranged for you. You travel with like-minded people and an expert guide, with the logistics left to us.

What small group touring means here

The ease of an organised trip, the feel of a private one

A small group tour is an escorted journey with a set itinerary. The stays, transport, and many of the experiences are arranged for you, and you travel alongside a small group of fellow travellers with an expert tour director or local guide. It is the simplest way to see a destination when you would rather someone else handle the details.

Smaller groups have been part of Little Travel House from the beginning. Andrew and Cathy founded the business in the midst of Covid-19 because they saw travel becoming more intimate: smaller groups, smaller ships, and bespoke arrangements with local guides. That belief still guides how we choose the tours we recommend.

As an independent business affiliated with the Envoyage Group, an arm of the Flight Centre Travel Group, we bring small-business attention to detail together with big-business buying power on the operators and departures we book.

Small group tours suit travellers who

  • Want the logistics handled without planning every detail themselves
  • Enjoy the company and shared experience of like-minded travellers
  • Are visiting a region for the first time and want a guide's insight
  • Prefer a more personal group than a large coach tour
  • Are travelling solo and want security and sociability
Why travellers come to us

The decisions we help you make

Choosing a group tour means choosing the right operator, departure, and pace. Here are the common questions we help travellers work through.

Which operator and itinerary to trust

We draw on our knowledge of reputable small-group operators to match you with a tour that fits your interests and travel style, not just the first result online.

Understanding group size and pace

We explain the group size and daily pace of each departure so you choose a tour that feels right, whether you want packed days or a slower rhythm.

Getting to and from the tour

We book your flights, pre- and post-tour hotels, and transfers so your whole journey connects smoothly around the tour itself.

Knowing what is included and what is extra

We walk you through what is covered and what is optional, so there are no surprises once you are on the road.

Our approach

We match you to the right tour, then complete the journey

We do not run our own tours. Instead, we work with trusted small-group operators and use our knowledge to match you with the right departure for your style and budget. Then we build the rest of your trip around it, flights, extensions, and transfers, so the whole journey holds together.

A dedicated human advisor

You speak with Andrew and Cathy directly, not a call-centre queue, from first idea to safe return home.

Envoyage Group buying power

Affiliation with the Envoyage Group, an arm of the Flight Centre Travel Group, brings competitive pricing and supplier contracts to your booking.

The whole trip, not just the tour

We coordinate flights, pre- and post-tour stays, and transfers so your tour sits inside one seamless itinerary.

The balance of a group tour

What is handled, and what stays yours

A small group tour takes care of the structure while leaving room for your own choices. Here is how that balance typically works.

Typically arranged for you

  • A set itinerary with stays, transport, and key experiences arranged
  • An expert tour director or local guide travelling with the group
  • Daily activities and the logistics of moving between destinations
  • The camaraderie and shared experience of travelling with like-minded people

What stays flexible

  • Free time to explore on your own in many stops
  • Optional excursions you can add or skip to suit your interests
  • Choice of dining independently or with the group in the evenings
  • Pre- and post-tour extensions to arrive early or linger longer

Inclusions vary by operator and itinerary. We walk you through the specifics of any departure you are considering.
